Hey everyone my name is Terry and I’m the creative director at Bee Terrific Media where I oversee each series with our growing staff of writers and artists. I also managed the AI technologies. But, I’m also a writer and artist myself.
Last month I wrote my first novel in over three years. Revolutionary. This project started as a “black anime fusion” idea where I would merge a black TV sitcom with an anime series (shonen). This was originally supposed to be Fresh Prince of Bel-Air meets Fate/Stay Night. At the time we needed a historical fiction series and as a fan of The Patriot, I decided to try to make an Isekkai.
Now, I won’t spoil anything for you with the other inspirations for the series that help flesh it out into the rough form that it is now. But I do want to share that Lonnie started as a 7th-grade version of me in 7th grade. Dealing with the news of your parents divorcing and struggling with puberty. Throw in the fact he dies and now travels between the past and present.
Now by chapter 2, Lonnie goes off on his own, but we share the same trauma. Some may see this and think I’m lashing out at my dad, but I’m not. As I said in an episode of Behind the Scenes. My dad was and is a great man. For whatever reason, it just didn’t work out between him and my mom. However, Lonnie’s story is different from mine. So this is not a direct retelling of my pain, but one that is similar to Lonnie’s development in the novel
So if you are a fan of The Patriot, X-men, or Aladdin, and want to explore Yoruba mythology from Africa. Take a chance to read Revolutionary Volume 1 exclusively for $5 where you get not only access to the rough draft manuscript. You get access to all of our other series as well. You even get to see the revision and editing process before we find our artist to bring the light novel to life. This is where you come in. We can get a page of art done for around $40. so if we can raise around $80 for Revolutionary, we add a new artist.
Thank you for your time and we can’t wait to see you inside the HIVE
