INTRODUCTION
Have you ever felt like the world around you was hiding something — something older, stranger, and more powerful than anyone dares to admit? Like magic was real… but just out of reach? You’re not wrong. The world is not what it seems. Beneath the surface of cities and stories, behind locked doors, redacted files, and ancient myths, a war is being fought. A war between angels and monsters, fate and free will, secrets and revelation. Magic is real. The gods were never gods — they were angels, some fallen, some forgotten, and some still pretending to be divine. And some of them… are us.
This is the Bee Terrific Media Universe, where modern life collides with ancient powers, and being a hero means more than putting on a costume. Here, superpowers are fueled by supernatural mechanics — magic systems that manifest as spells, bloodlines, gestures, relics, or songs. Two people might move at the same blinding speed, but one is doing it by channeling necromantic energy through a cursed bloodline, while the other uses a divine contract sealed through sacred movement. The effect is the same — the source, the meaning, the cost, are not.
You might play Camille, a werewolf whose necromantic strength is restored through death, or Ellen, a familiar bonded to a divine spirit, whose gestures unlock lightning reflexes. Or you might create someone new: a cyborg empowered by ritual tech, a ghost with unfinished purpose, a mutant touched by angelic DNA. Your powers are magical — and personal. This isn’t just a game about what you can do, but why you can do it, and what that power demands from you in return.
Most of the world doesn’t know any of this is happening. And that’s by design. A powerful agency keeps the supernatural hidden — manipulating memories, covering up incidents, erasing truths. But the cracks are forming. Strange sightings. Miracles caught on camera. Whispers of Nephilim. Something is waking up. The veil is thinning. And soon, keeping the world in the dark won’t be an option.
Each series in the Bee Terrific Universe — Pack Matters, Favor of Athena, Angel Protocol — explores a different mythology, each one a different spoke on the same ancient wheel. Greek gods. Egyptian pantheons. Christian angelology. They aren’t separate stories — they’re threads in a single, supernatural tapestry. And just like in the comics we grew up loving, these threads are pulling toward something bigger: a cosmic crossover where every power, every myth, every character collides. This game is how you get there.
We made this game because we didn’t want to just read about magical superheroes. We wanted to be them. Not just to throw lightning or punch through walls, but to feel like we were part of something larger — something mythic, something messy, something meaningful. We chose the FASERIP system because it’s fast, flexible, and dramatic. It uses two ten-sided dice and a single action chart to resolve just about anything, letting you focus on your character, your story, and the magic that fuels both. Whether you’re stepping into the shoes of an established Bee Terrific hero or creating your own from scratch, this book gives you everything you need to start playing in that world. To tell stories where belief becomes battle, and myth becomes your weapon.
You might be new to roleplaying. Or you might be a long-time GM looking for a fresh setting. Either way, welcome. This is your invitation to join a universe where spellcraft and superpowers are two sides of the same coin, where ancient prophecies leak into subway stations and back alleys, where faith meets firepower — and you get to decide what happens next.
So light the candle. Open the circle. Roll your dice.
Let’s get terrific.
