A Measure of Physical Vitality and Combat Endurance
Definition
Health is a numeric value that represents the total physical damage a character can withstand before becoming unconscious or dying. It reflects a combination of combat skill, agility, muscle power, and stamina. Health does not have a rank, but rather is calculated as the sum of the character’s rank numbers in the following Primary Abilities:
- Fighting
- Agility
- Strength
- Endurance
How Health Works
- Taking Damage: Health is reduced when a character takes physical damage from combat, accidents, or hazardous situations.
- Zero Health: When a character’s Health drops to 0, they fall unconscious. Continued damage may result in loss of Endurance ranks and possible death.
- Healing: Characters regain Health naturally over time. Each day, they recover a number of points equal to their Endurance rank number. In critical scenarios, healing may be accelerated (per hour or per combat turn) based on the situation and the Judge’s discretion.
- Combat Role: A high Health score makes a character harder to knock out or kill. It also allows them to engage in prolonged combat or survive extreme situations.
Example Health Calculation
If a character has the following rank numbers:
- Fighting: Excellent (20)
- Agility: Remarkable (30)
- Strength: Good (10)
- Endurance: Excellent (20)
Their total Health would be:
20 + 30 + 10 + 20 = 80
Summary
Health is a dynamic reflection of a character’s physical capability to survive threats, combining combat prowess, bodily control, raw strength, and stamina into a single, crucial number.
