Weekly Wednesday Newsletter #2
Thank you for doing me a favor and reading issue two of our weekly newsletter. If this is your first time, the newsletter is for updating you on the current process of the comic and other future goals. The second week has been slow. We are getting more visitors, but we didn’t have any new subscribers. Richard has some family issues, so please keep him in your prayers. On the flip side, we are on schedule for our debut in November.
Writing: The script is now in the editing stage. I’m also working on character profiles to use for preview.
Art: Richard has finished the roughs for page 1 and 2!
:
Coloring: Richard will be finishing the pencils and inks for coloring.
Lettering: I’m still researching logos to redesign Favor of Athena’s. I’m thinking of going with a font similar to Gothika.
Publishing: I’m researching small printing places to prepare for prints.
Marketing: The number of followers for my professional Facebook page went up from 20 to 60 from ads. Our Patreon visitors also jumped from our last post. We had over 100 visitors read the last Newsletter.
Final Thoughts: I’m still campaigning on Facebook and posting to Twitter as well. This week, I will be shooting videos to help. I’m also looking at landing a celebrity to see if they will support the book. The tentative release date is November 18.
FoA Weekly Wednesday Newsletter# 1
Favor of Athena is coming and you should do yourself a favor and subscribe!
Writing:
The first story arc of the series is adapted from my novel Lust. This will be about four issues. That means 1 issue a year.
The script for the first two pages, which will be release in November, are done.
Art:
Richard is currently working on the character designs. They are based on my concept art, concept art by previous artist, and other references.
He is also going to be working on a banner for our Patreon page.
Once he finishes those tasks, he will start working on page one and two.
Coloring:
Richard’s banner will be fully colored and so will the webcomic.
Lettering:
Yes, I’m the letterer. I have a graphic design degree and damn it, I want to contribute to the art !
Right now I’m reading up on different fonts to redesign the cover logo, which you can see in our banner now.
Publishing:
I started doing some research into using Lulu for publishing the printed version of the books.
Greg Burnham, writer of Tuskegee Heirs, will be helping me out as a mentor! I can’t wait to pick his brain about launching a comic series.
Marketing:
I started Patreon, obviously, but FoA now has a Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube channel. I will still post on my own professional pages.
We have gain three followers: two at the $5 package and one for the $15 package. If we gain 15 more subscribers, I will start a podcast.
The goal going into week two is to gain two more subscribers.
I’m networking in some Facebook groups and have a live Facebook ad campaign to drive potential fans to visit the Patreon page.
This included sending private messages to friends and family to subscribe or share the page.
Final Thoughts:
We’re off to a great start. We are 17% towards our subscriber goal in the first week. 27% if you go by pledge amount, which is over 1/4. In general, people like the Patreon, but would like to see more, and more is what we will be bringing to you soon!
Until next time!
Be Terrific,
Terrio
Thank You!
If you are visiting for the first, thank you!
We are still building the platform, but we will be ready for our November launch.
I will be posting, for free, some content from the novel and more of Richard’s work.
Right now, we are working on a banner and the final character designs.
The more patrons we have, the more we will be able to do, so please consider becoming a patron.
You are ALL doing me a FAVOR and again I thank you for joining us on this journey.
Be Terrific!

Introducing Richard Capullo
For years I tried to find an artist who made me feel he/she belong on my book. After all, my writing is good, but people read comics for the story and art. I gave up , after having artist wanting to draw big boos, or not work with me on the designs.
It got frustrating. so I had a friend who suggested I turn my comic into a novel. I focused on writing novels for the past decade. Yes. In a decade I wrote four novels, still unpublished. Still in need of editing. During my creative writing journey with Full Sail, my comic book nerdiness came back.
So, I took to Fiverr and found an artist to adapt the first scene of a short film into a comic page. Although the characters were messed up, this was the first piece of a final product I had since finishing my last novel last November.
Although I appreciated that artist, I went looking for another one. With a low, strict budget in mind. I browsed and browsed, until BANG!
Richard page resonated with me. I wanted to secure his talents, so I even added an extra $20 for a $90 per month deal. II didn’t hear from him for two days, but he responded with such energy, that I knew this was the right pick.
Richard will be providing the penciling, inks, and colors of Favor of Athena. He is currently working on their designs and the first two pages of issue one.

Page One and Two News
I decided to adapt my novel back into a comic book. Lust will be the first story arc in Favor of Athena. I will be publishing two pages per month.
Richard Capullo will be providing all the art. He can be found at https://www.fiverr.com/richardcapullo?source=order_page_user_message_link
The plan is to have the first issue ready for print by October 2021. . This also means every issue will take about a year. With more contributions, we could increase production and release it earlier.
I’m excited to see the visuals come to life and nervous about taking this step. Writing comics has been a dream of mine, and now I’m making it happen.
