#blerd #nerdSo tonight on SmackDown, Bianca has a small interaction with Bayley. I won’t go into it for the sake of not spoiling the angle. However, I’ve been telling friends who watch wrestling that one thing I don’t understand is how Bianca still doesn’t like or trust Bayley, even though it’s been months since Bayley’s face turn. On Raw, though, Bianca seems to have forgiven Iyo Sky, who was Bayley’s running mate as part of the stable Damage Control. She even introduced Iyo last week on the October 18th edition of Raw. So, why do I care?
I do like that Bianca hasn’t forgiven Bayley despite both being faces. However, it’s inconsistent that she would forgive Iyo. Iyo was part of the beatings that took Bianca out for weeks. Iyo was with Bayley for every beatdown of Bianca.
So, what gives? Is Bianca being harder on Bayley because she was the leader of Damage Control? I guess that would make sense. Bianca could see Iyo as more of a follower during those times. Sort of like how most followers don’t take accountability. We as a society seem to also forgive followers more than we do the leaders who lead them astray.
Alternatively, could this be a simple case of WWE’s selective memory? Iyo is on Raw, and Bayley is on SmackDown, so maybe Bianca’s interactions with Iyo feel more current, while her grudge with Bayley lingers from the past.
I don’t know, it’s interesting. I feel it’s bad storytelling.
What do you guys think? Bad storytelling or simple case of oversight?
