Patreon is undergoing some exciting changes that I’m thrilled about! First off, they’re introducing a free tier, which means that anyone can now join Patreon. This free tier grants access to public posts, podcasts, and other content. Subscribers can then choose to upgrade to one of our paid tiers, each offering unique rewards.
Another significant development is the introduction of a shop on Patreon. This shop will be open to everyone, not just paid subscribers. This is particularly exciting for me because my WooCommerce integrations were causing slowdowns on my WordPress site. I’m hoping that the Patreon shop will provide a smoother and more efficient shopping experience compared to my current WooCommerce shop on the blog, where I’ve been encountering issues with item duplication and editing.
Additionally, the introduction of free members is expected to simplify my email marketing efforts. Now, I can collect emails more easily, and every time I post new content, an email is automatically generated, eliminating the need for direct emailing.
Overall, these changes by Patreon seem promising and should enhance both the content delivery and shopping experience for my audience.
