My sister broke the news to me a few minutes ago that Windham Lawrence Rotunda (May 23, 1987 – August 24, 2023), had pass.
I didn’t believe her at first and when I went to check WWE.com, they as of now still havent’ posted anything about it, so I thought it was a rumor.
Then I check Wikipedia which mentioned HHH tweeted about it. Then I verified the tweet.
I know I don’t talk about wrestling or sports in general much on my blog, but I’m a huge fan of WWE. I love the storytelling and was meaning to turn my blog more into a storytelling blog so I can blog about wrestling.
Windham, known as Bray Wyatt, was one of my favorate characters. A frest spin on a cult leader archetype. His promos were always well delivered, even if they didn’t go anywhere or where too cryptic, but I felt that added to his character.
Vince did Bray wrong and let him go, but HHH brougt him back last year. Sadly, he only had one match since coming back during the later part of Summer last year.
The family has asked for privacy at this time and all we know is that Bray has been out for health reasons.
R.I.P Bray, you were truly a master storyteller in and out the ring.
